a place to live

I've been worried about where we're going to live for a while now.

The past 16 years have been quite transient for me. The flat where we are living now has been my home for nearly four years, the longest I've lived anywhere since 1995. We're now hoping to sell it and move on.

The long-term plan is to get in to eco-building, but not in the sense that we'd be builders working for developers. I'd like to work with people to build their own homes.

I found this great video this morning as I was recovering from my morning swim:

Steve! This is Davey from over at Dada Robotnik, working in Nablus right now. I feel we're picking up similar signals, despite not knowing each other, I found this video a little while back and was similarly struck by it! Also I'm going to stalk both this blog and the realm of the steamed pudding evangelist in hopes that I can glean some stove-top cooking knowledge, I feed myself without discrimination and am an aspiring but slap-dash cook.

Cheers!

This blog is a bit on the dull side usually, but we have big plans for the Evangelist!

Great film, isn't it?

Well, at least you'll still have your (ever more transient) home here on blogspot! Apparently I'm a year and a half behind on reading your blog--congrats on getting married!
Hey, I liked your post about the Maker's bill of rights-the dumbing down of consumer goods is something I've noticed too.
